All the best,
The Club at Rock Creek (the “Club”) is a golf and recreational club located on the bluffs overlooking beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene in northern Idaho. Membership at the Club provides opportunities to enjoy a variety of recreational and social facilities and to participate in various social activities and events. Under the Membership Plan, the privilege of using the Club Facilities is available to Members, Designees, immediate family members, guests, and such other persons as may be permitted by the Club from time to time.
The “Club Facilities” currently include the following.
Other benefits of Membership may be offered from time to time, as the Club may elect. A complete description of the terms and conditions of any current additional benefits is available at the Membership Office.
No. The Club at Rock Creek, together with the real property and Club Facilities, will be owned and operated by Rock Creek Golf Club Idaho, LLC, an Idaho limited liability company.
The Club currently offers non-equity, non-proprietary and non-participatory memberships under three main classifications: Golf Memberships, Corporate Golf Memberships, and Social Memberships.
A Golf Membership allows Members in good standing the opportunity to use all of the Club Facilities and to attend Club-sponsored events held at the Club Facilities, on a space available basis. Golf Members are not charged green fees for use of the golf facilities, but they do pay golf cart fees, trail fees and caddie fees (as applicable), usage fees for other facilities if established by the Club, and of course personal charges incurred at the Club. Golf Members have advance sign-up privileges to reserve golf starting times, subject to the rules and policies of the Club.
A Corporate Golf Membership must be owned in the name of a corporation, partnership, limited liability company, trust or other form of business ownership. The entity must be an active, on-going operating business, duly organized under the laws of any state, in good standing pursuant to the statutory regulations promulgated by the state in which the entity was organized, and not formed solely for the purpose of acquiring a Membership at the Club.
The Corporate Golf Member designates one primary representative as the “primary Designee”, and may designate up to three additional associate Designees for use of the membership use privileges. The Designees must be a bona fide officer, director, partner, shareholder, owner, member, manager or key employee of the entity unless otherwise permitted by the Club, and must each submit an Application for Designee Use Privileges and be approved by the Club. The Membership Plan and Rules describe in more detail the terms and conditions under which the designations may be made and/or changed from time to time.
With a Corporate Golf Membership, the entity pays a Membership Fee for the primary Designee, and a non-refundable initiation fee for each of the additional Designees. The designees of a Corporate Golf Membership have the same privileges to use the Club Facilities, and each pay the same dues and other Club Fees as a Golf Member.
A Social Member in good standing has the opportunity to use all of the Club Facilities except the golf course and golf practice facilities and to attend designated Club-sponsored non-golf events held at the Club Facilities, on a space available basis. Social Members shall not have access to the golf course or golf practice facilities except as a guest and payment of applicable guest fees. However, Social Members and their immediate family members may be permitted to participate in certain golf-related activities on a space available basis, such as taking golf lessons from the Club staff, or participating in golf camps and similar golf related activities as determined by the Club from time to time, in its discretion.
Yes. All Memberships in good standing allow the primary Member or Designee and his/her immediate family members to use the Club Facilities based on the Member’s classification of Membership.
The term “immediate family members” consists of the spouse of the primary Member or Designee who is living in the same household as the primary Member or Designee, and the unmarried children of each who are under the age of twenty-six and either living in the same household as the primary Member or Designee or attending school on a full-time basis.
The Club currently allows Social Members who are in good standing to upgrade to a Golf Membership, subject to availability, satisfaction of any eligibility requirements, and payment of the required Membership Fee. The Membership Fee to upgrade is currently equal to the difference between the Membership Fee for the desired Golf Membership and the actual Membership Fee, if any, previously paid by the Social Member to the Club for the Social Membership.
The Club currently has an option for a “Legacy Membership”, which is available to the children of Golf Members in good standing who are between the ages of 26 and 30. Legacy Members must pay a non-refundable initiation fee and the same regular dues and fees as a Golf Member, and convert to a Golf Membership, if available, prior to turning 30. If a Golf Membership is available, the Legacy Member would pay a Membership Fee equal to the difference between the Golf Membership Fee charged at the time they originally joined as a Legacy Member and the initiation fee previously paid to the Club for his/her Legacy Membership. In the event a Legacy Member does not upgrade to an available Golf Membership by age 30, then such Legacy Membership shall be automatically resigned without refund of any initiation fee, dues and other Club Fees previously paid to the Club. Legacy Memberships are not included in the maximum number of Golf Memberships.
It is anticipated that the maximum number of outstanding dues-paying Golf Memberships and Corporate Golf Memberships shall be limited to 375. However, the Club reserves the right to increase or decrease the maximum number of Golf Memberships based on the capacity of the golf facilities and the manner in which the golf facilities are used by Golf Members. Corporate Golf Memberships shall be counted as one membership without regard to the number of Designees.
The Club may limit the number of outstanding Social Memberships. There is no defined limit on the number of such Memberships at this time.
No. As a non-equity club Members are not subject to assessments.
Yes. It is the intention of the Club to accommodate guests without inconvenience to the Members in accordance with the guest policy and Rules established by the Club.
Membership at the Club is only available by invitation. While applicants for Membership are not required to own a residence or home site at Rock Creek, the Club reserves the absolute right, in its discretion, to reserve or otherwise make Memberships available to persons who do own a residence or home site in the Community.
Members may sponsor candidates for membership and invitation. To learn more, please contact the Membership Office.
To obtain a Membership at the Club the applicant shall pay the required Membership Fee to the Club.
The amount of the Membership Fee and the manner of payment of the Membership Fee is established by the Club from time to time, and is further described in the Member’s Membership Agreement. The Membership Fee will be the amount in effect on the date the Membership Agreement is received by the Club. A current schedule of Membership Fees, dues and other Club Fees is available from the Membership Office.
You can apply to become a Member by delivering to the Club a fully completed and signed Application for Membership Privileges, the applicable Membership Agreement, and the required Membership Fee. Applicants must be sponsored by an existing Member in good standing or a representative of the Club. All applicants for Membership are subject to approval by the Club, and may be required to attend an interview with the Membership Committee.
Once all required information has been submitted to the Membership Office and following any interview process, the Club will evaluate each application and conduct such investigation and consideration of the applicant, as it deems appropriate. The approval of an application may be granted or withheld in the discretion of the Club, provided that all applicants will be evaluated without regard to race, religion, creed, color, sex, national origin, marital status or physical disability, or any manner in violation of applicable law.
If an application is approved, the Club will notify the applicant immediately and invite the applicant to membership. If the application is not approved, the applicant will be notified and the Membership Fee paid will be returned.
No. Members may not sell, transfer or otherwise assign their Membership except to the Club.
Members in good standing, with all dues and Club Fees paid, may resign at any time upon prior written notice to the Club.
Social Memberships terminate at the end of the Membership Year in which the membership resignation is effective, without refund of any Membership Fee, dues and other Club Fees previously paid.
The Club will maintain a resigned membership list for resigned Golf Memberships and Corporate Golf Memberships. A resigned Membership will be placed on the list when accepted, and will remain on the list for so long as the Membership is maintained in good standing, with the ongoing dues and other Club Fees being timely paid. The order that resigned Memberships are placed on the list shall determine when the resigned Membership is reissued, and the Member is paid the Refund Amount described in the Membership Plan by the Club.
For Memberships issued prior to April 1, 2016, the Club will pay the applicable Refund Amount to the resigned Member once his/her Membership has rotated to the top of the resigned membership list and the next Golf Membership or Corporate Golf Membership has been issued by the Club. For Memberships issued after April 1, 2016, the Club will pay the applicable Refund Amount to the resigned Member once his/her Membership has rotated to the top of the resigned membership list and the next two Golf Memberships or Corporate Golf Memberships have been issued by the Club. Memberships issued prior to April 1, 2016 will have priority on the list, ahead of Memberships issued after April 1, 2016, regardless of when a resignation is accepted. If there is no Membership on the resigned membership list then the Club will issue one of its Memberships to the applicant desiring such Membership.
The Club shall pay to the resigned Member the applicable Refund Amount within sixty days after the resigned Golf Membership or Corporate Golf Membership is reissued by the Club from the resigned membership list to a successor Member who is approved by the Club and paid the required Membership Fee to the Club in full.
Yes. Golf Members in good standing who own a residence or home site in the Community and who have not submitted a written resignation of Membership, may arrange for the Club to transfer their Membership to the purchaser of their residence or home site in the Community.
The purchaser must submit an Application for Membership Privileges and the applicable Membership Agreement, be approved for Membership by the Club, and pay to the Club the Membership Fee for the Golf Membership in full. In that event, the Club shall pay to the resigned Member the applicable Refund Amount within sixty days after the Golf Membership is transferred by the Club to the purchaser. The Club will evaluate the purchaser on the same basis as any other applicant for Membership, and there is no guarantee or assurance that the purchaser will be accepted as a Member.
Although subject to change at any time in the Club’s discretion, the current Refund Amount is equal to (i) 75% of the Membership Fee paid to the Club by the successor Member upon reissuance of the resigned Membership, or (ii) the actual Membership Fee previously paid to the Club by the resigned Member, whichever is less. In no event shall the Refund Amount exceed the actual Membership Fee previously paid to the Club by the resigned Member.
Social Memberships are not refundable.
A Member in good standing and who has not submitted a written resignation of Membership has a one-time only opportunity to request that the Club transfer his/her Membership to an adult child or grandchild (21 years of age and over) of the primary Member upon approval by the Club and such Member’s spouse, if any. The child or grandchild must submit an Application for Membership Privileges, be approved by the Club and invited to membership, submit to the Club the applicable Membership Agreement, and pay to the Club a non-refundable transfer fee. The transfer fee shall be established by the Club from time to time in its discretion. The transfer of the Membership to an adult child or grandchild shall not be subject to any waiting lists.
